Daria [Dasha] Panteleeva is a transdisciplinary queer artist of Russian origin.
​
She works across video and expanded cinema, photography, sound, installation, opera, performance, poetry, and playwriting.
In 2022, she left Russia in protest against the war in Ukraine and has since been living in Europe, continuing her artistic practice in exile.
In recent years, she has developed several exhibition and performance projects in France and other European countries. Among them: her artistic and curatorial contribution to the exhibition “Visibilité: L’amour et la fierté LGBTQIA+” (Reforum Space, Paris); her participation in the exhibitions “Presence” and “Quand la nature mort, je dissous dans sa mémoire” as part of the open studios at the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris); the performance “Exclusion Zone” presented at the opening of the exhibition “Censure” at POUSH (Aubervilliers); the 3D sound walk “Nora always loved Ursa Major” (Norway, Berlevåg); the visual poem “Ikke smelter” (Norway, Berlevåg); and the introspective piece “Born to be…” (Germany, Cologne). In 2025, she took part in the group exhibition “Spring cannot be canceled” at Friches Et Nous la Paix gallery (Paris), “Fête de l'Estampe 2025” at the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), “Earth, Skin, & Stone” at Espace 49 gallery (Paris) and “Untitled/Passeport” » at Galerie l'Atlas (Paris).

Before her emigration, Daria directed more than 25 theater productions in Russia and abroad, notably at the Mariinsky Theatre of Primorye, the Mikhailovsky Theatre, the Khabarovsk Musical Theatre, and the State Musical Theatre of Azerbaijan.
As a playwright, she has written original plays, librettos, and adaptations – some of which were finalists in international competitions. Her poetry has been published in literary anthologies.
