MYCELIUM
Series of digital photos
Paris, 2025
In ecology, mycelium acts as a natural filter and recycler: it restores contaminated soils, purifies water, and helps break down oil spills or residues of chemical substances. This process is called mycoremediation — the use of fungi to clean the environment. As a result, toxic compounds are either degraded into safe forms or become part of new biological cycles, returning to the ecosystem without causing harm. And it’s simply beautiful and magic! Especially when you watch mushrooms grow.
